The Interreg VA Flanders – The Netherlands program invests close to €2.3 million in the project, half the total investment. The Ministry of Economic Affairs (NL) and the Provinces Limburg (NL) and Flemish-Brabant (B) invest another €1.1 million into the project.

For Prosperos, the cross border collaboration is of extreme importance, due to the highly specialized fields of knowledge required. No less than 6 universities and academic hospitals (Maastricht UMC+, Delft University of Technology, UMC Utrecht, Uniklinik RWTH Aachen and KU Leuven/UZ Leuven are participating in the project. Together with companies that are on board (Antleron, PCOTech) they possess the laboratories for carrying out the preclinical research and coating application, but are also capable of performing the clinical trials in the final stage of the project. In addition, the consortium has access to outstanding animal experimental facilities (Medanex Clinic), as well as to parties specialized in the design, production and commercialization of implants (Xilloc, 2Move Implants, 4Web and 3D Systems/Layerwise).

Prosperos recieved funding from the Interreg VA program Flanders – The Netherlands, the cross border cooperation program for smart, green and inclusive growth, with financial support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). More info: www.grensregio.eu
