Prosperos develops personalized bioactive bone implant for functional recovery

With Prosperos, a large research project is underway, lead by the Maastricht UMC+, in the field of 'smart', 3D printed implants for the repair of large bone defects. The research is aimed towards the development of biologically active implants, which can be customised to match the needs of every individual patient. When successful, this will lead to faster revalidation and a reduction in the number of revision surgeries.
